Safety on DigsConnect

Safety by design

Safety is a top priority at DigsConnect so we have designed our platform to have multiple layers of security. The safety of our users is not something we will compromise on so we shall continue to ensure that DigsConnect is a safe space.

Internal checks
Internal checks
All landlords and their listings are thoroughly checked by our team before going live. We collect contact information and ID as well as proof of address for all properties. We also ensure that listings have accurate information displayed so that you know exactly what you're getting!
Trusted landlords
Trusted landlords
Look out for the blue Trusted Landlord badge on a listing! This is a landlord that has placed at least one tenant through DigsConnect before. We know you can trust them.
Listing rankings
Listing rankings
Detail-rich properties with landlords that are highly verified will rank higher on our platform. The properties that come up first in your search results are the ones we trust the most!
Dedicated support agents
Dedicated support agents
Once you have made an enquiry to a property, you are assigned a dedicated support agent who will guide you through the DigsConnect process. We are always there to help if you need it.
Verified phone numbers
Verified phone numbers
All users on our platform, both tenants and landlords, are required to verify their phone number with an OTP on sign up.
DigsConnect inbox
DigsConnect inbox
This is our own integrated chat system that allows you to speak to a landlord and a support agent, all in one chat. This also means you don't have to move to personal communication channels.

Things to look out for

Although we do everything we can to make sure that landlords on DigsConnect are genuine, we also believe it is your responsibility to be aware of signs that might indicate fraudulent behaviour when interacting with landlords.

Here is a list of things to be on the lookout for

  1. Landlords that don’t have a profile picture of a face or company logo.
  2. Landlords asking for payments before doing a viewing or providing a lease agreement.
  3. Landlords who don’t show the outside of their property.
  4. Landlords who ask for personal information without going for a viewing or providing a lease agreement.
  5. Landlords that stop communicating after receiving your personal information and / or payment.
  6. Landlords that don't want to arrange a viewing or provide a video tour of the listing, especially before payment.
